Gilles Sayer has over 25 years of professional experience with France’s most prestigious banks. Starting his career with BNP, Gilles set up the Singapore Commodity Finance desk, and subsequently led the Banque INDOSUEZ Singapore Commodity Finance desk.
He later became the Managing Director and Global Head of Structured Commodity Finance with Crédit Agricole CIB. He directly led deal teams, winning mandates in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Central Asia, to raise debt on pre-export and borrowing base structures for producers, processors and traders.
Gilles has recently been spearheading the Essar commodity trading initiative, now with Riverdale no longer under Essar. Gilles is CEO of Riverdale Commodities SA.
